Kennel/Pup pen/Tv cabinet(s) combo
I am no carpenter but with a lot of effort, sheer will and very helpful boys my new Kennel/Tv stand/Puppy pen combo is pretty much done.
There are 8 individual kennels that are 26" long X 16" high X 18" wide so each dachshund can have plenty of room to be comfy in. It is very sturdy and functional - not the prettiest but it didn't turn out too bad, freed up my dining room and its something memorable I shared doing with my boys.......
Now to finish up the puppy pen area and Tv cabinet door

Re: Kennel/Pup pen/Tv cabinet(s) combo
Thanks guys! My creativeness came out of desperation being stuck inside for most of the winter I HAD to get control over the clutter and maximize my space (small 2 bedroom apartment).
My 10 yr old has the building bug now seeing something come to life from a drawing. I think he is a future carpenter. He has already built some bookshelves for his room, a ramp for his bike, scooter and skateboard and a simple swing. Right now he is designing a storage bench and pestering me to get more wood so he can get started on it
My almost 3 yr old thinks all the tools are his finding him with a screwdriver trying to "fix" a screw or a hammer to "fix" something wobbly. Yesterday, he went after his brothers bike with a wrench determined to "fix" it even though there is nothing wrong with it. So I guess thats how we are going to spend our summertime activities together
