Hi Yall from Alabama!

My name is Kaylee and I am new to the forum. I have just purchased two female puppies to start my breeding program. I am excited to pick up my second puppy next week from Tradewinds Dachshunds.
I am really excited about learning everything I can to have the healthiest and best dachshunds I can "help" create lol.

Also it is very nice to meet all of you who share my passion of doxies!

I hope all your questions are answered and you find everything you are looking for! This is a great place to learn. We all have slightly different views on many things......I try to stress that all views are welcomed and you just have to see what fits you and your life! Congrats and welcome to our forum and to the breeding world. Just one word of advise to start out with......READ & RESEARCH.....ok 2 words but you get the jist of it!

Welcome! I recommend doing lots of research as well! I recommend getting Lisa Emerson's book, "The Wienepedia: Dachshund Coats, Colors, & Patterns", it is the dachshund "bible" for genetics. Also, I saw on the other forum you may be interested in showing. Someone awhile back recommended me to get the book "Raising a Champion", and it is full of information about showing! Here's a link to the book, but I'm sure you can buy it cheaper on ebay or amazon.
