Welcome ALL!!!

I'd like to start out by introducing myself to those of you who don't know me!!
My name is Karen Callahan, I have been married to a wonderful man for 10yrs this yr and we have been together for over 13 yrs now! We have no children together but we share 5 children altogether!! Hubby has 2 girls, Shelly 25 & Kristen 22, Kristen has our only grandchild Blake and he is almost 3 now and the highlight of our lives!! I babysit 3 or 4 days a week for her while she works! I have 3 children, Scott 20, Amanda 19 and Felicia 16!! Felicia is the only one left at home and is a Junior in HS. She loves to sing and is taking voice lessons and she is also an artist!!
I am 40 yrs old at the present time. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and have previously worked in Business Management for several yrs til the stress got to me....LOL!!! Then I went into Private Home Health Care which I thought was my calling until I fell ill in 07. I have an illness called Pulmonary NeuroSarcoidosis. I am now disabled with my illness but I still manage to breed & show my dogs!! With the help of my loving family!!

I have my dogs.....around 15 of them. I have several spayed/neutered, I have a few Aussies and my dachshunds are my babies! I have been breeding since 04 and started out with the Aussies! This is what I do for therapy!!
I like everyone else had to start out somewhere.....I had a very nice Mentor for several yrs who helped teach me a ton about breeding and showing. I traveled to many dog shows when I started out and I loved it. I met many nice people and a few not so nice! Most of my dogs are AKC. I have a few handler/friends who show for me now!! I would love to show myself but my illness just will not allow me to show and be steady in the ring like I would need to be! I would hate to fall and traumatize any dogs or pups!!!
I have come along way and I have had to change up my breeding program several times! I do however try to always place my dogs into loving forever homes!!
I also do some rescue! I will rescue Dachshunds and Australian Shepherds since these are the 2 breeds I am most familiar with!!

Anyways....just a little about me!!!

My name is Robin Brueggeman I have been married for 20 years we have one son almost 16 years old...I am 44 ouch that hurt to say LOL ! I live in a little town called Madison located in Ohio.
I have 2 dachshunds that i totally love with all my heart and i also have a yellow lab i love so much he is the kindest boy... I have one black and tan smooth and a red long haired boy that I adopted from Karen after she rescued him and I am thankful everyday that Karen rescued him I cant imagine our life without him .
I just opened my own boarding kennel and I am so excited about it this has been my dream for a very long time

My babies are just pets I am not a breeder just a doxie lover and have learned so much from all of you breeders i love reading and looking at everything about doxies....Thats it Thanks Karen

Gee, I'm so excited to find this forum...Thanks SOOOO very much Karen. I have tried 2 others but in the end, they just didn't provide what I was looking for. I'm so excited to meet some new friends and get reacquainted with some old ones .

Now for you to get to know me I'm going to take my facebook description as it sums it all up....

you have the mental age of a 3 year old!! ever heard of the saying, small things amuse small minds? .. well that is you!! almost anything will interest you, but only for a small amount of time. you are so happy and care free!! you can also be a little silly and hypo and have so much energy!! people think your great fun to be around you always amuse the croud.

Now, take that child like personality add it to a newbie in the show ring with a 6/9 month old dog and what do u get??? ME...a walking disaster who is having FUN, but needs loads of work I have a show mentor who is the nicest sweetest lady, and has loads of patience. Lets face it, you've gotta be patience if your working with me I'm so ADHD I can stare at my car keys for 20 minutes before I actually get around to processing, I need to get somewhere...but hey who can blame me when the cardinals are feeding @ the bird feeder

Quick history, I'm a 4th generation rescuer (long story), 13 years of breeding Dachshunds, 1.5 years of venturing into the show ring all while being Mom, Wife, & Car Pool Queen

Love my Dachshunds...but my biggest baby is my Bernese Mountain Dog (OLLIE) I just love my baby boy we just put in an agility field for my youngest daughter's
Aussie (Blue) and we just love to have FUN with our babies.... Hey, did I ever say I was long winded?
