Post  D&A Mini Doxies Mon Dec 06, 2010 11:27 pm

I had mentioned an idea to Karen a little while ago about possibly saving each month's photo contest winner's photos, and then at the end of the year make a calendar of all the winning pictures. I talked to my cousin who had made calendars with photos of the family for everyone for xmas one year, and she said she just used the microsoft works calendar template and added special dates (we could do member's birthdays or whatever else you can think of). She bought black spiral things (don't know what they are called, but know what they look like LOL) at staples. She used regular printer paper sized paper, but used the glossy kind to print everything out on. It'd probably be cheaper to take the photos to walmart and print out copies of that size there rather than wasting printer ink. Of course these wouldn't be free, and we'd have to decide on a price. I'm not very computer smart LOL so if you think this is a neat idea volunteers would be nice, but I'm willing to try it if no one else wants to. May have to experiment with just one at first and see how it goes.

I would love a doxie calendar with photos of doxies we all know! I am actually making myself a calendar on Wal-Mart.com of my personal doxies for this next year. For an 8 1/2 x 11, it is only $15.00, which is actually cheaper than one from Petsmart with random doxies. You can even add up to 3 pics per month, which I will do on some, like October since I have a couple good halloween pics. I'm sure there are many other photo sites online where you can create calendars that may be cheaper and you wouldn't have the task of putting pictures into spirals Very Happy

Yeah the walmart idea will probably be less costly, and take less time them making them by hand Smile

LOL I'm sure I'll be able to handle the walmart ones. I guess at the end of the year someone can send me all the pics, and we can put up a deadline or something for when the money is due ($20 seems alright including the shipping) and then I can go do them in bulk rather than doing one and then going back and doing them seperately as I get the money in LOL.

You could do them from home through walmart.com, just create it, then upload it. You can then have them printed and shipped site-to-store for free. Takes about a week. Then it would be saved in your account and you can easily re-order if more people decide they want one (like if they join the forum late) Just a thought Very Happy

Oh wow, thats neat. I'll have to get on there and full around with it later. I might make one with just my doxies and past pups for this year until we get pics from the forum for next year Smile
