Found a Pit Bull

OMGosh.....I should say....A Pit Bull found us cause she showed up on our property late the other night. Thinking someone probably dropped her off cause she was taken care of for the most part other than all the flea bites I found on her......poor baby!
"Lilly" as we named her.....is a red/white piebald (LOL) with one blue eye and one brown eye. She is appoximately 2 yrs old if that. Has had puppies at some time. Is intact still. Does not jump up on you. Loves to ride in the vehicle. I opened up the hatch on our Jeep and she jumped up in....LOL...laid right down and we took her to a large local shelter to have her scanned for a microchip. No chip was found and 3 people scanned her....LOL!! They won't take her if we can't find her owners cause she is a Pit but we have all decided that since she is a sweetheart and has tons of manners and wants nothing but to come in and enjoy our company......we are thinking of keeping her. We need another "pet" dog like we need a hole in our heads....LOL! But she is so sweet and good and a great watch dog. She only barks when someone is actually here and she stands at the steps of our deck when she does it. I walk out and tell her its ok and she lets them pass with a wagging tail and acts like she knows them. We are giving her a medicated bath and treating her for the fleas. I am gonna give her a booster shot just to be safe. Also gonna worm her to be safe. I will take her to my vet and have her looked over and heartworm test her and all that. The shelter we took her to said they will spay her for us for $80 if we don't find her owner and give her a rabies shot. If no one claims her by next weekend I think Lilly will have a new home with us......just hope she doesn't eat us out of it.....LOL!
I will post pics after we bath her. We haven't let her come in but she is content to stay out on our deck and hasn't left it yet. I have 3 wk old puppies tho so I am not wanting to upset mama to much and I have a litter due in a little over 2 wks and don't want that mama to upset either......she is already freaking out the doxies LOL! Little Daisy Mae tried to bite her lip today and thought she was gonna munch her in one bite....but nope......she just wagged her tail and took a step away from her and was like....what the heck is wrong with you squirt......thank goodness she didn't decide to eat her for a snack!
Anyways....if you know of anyone in or around Canfield, Ohio that lost their pet dog......let me know! I will not post pics on FB for fear of a dog fighter to come and claim her or a puppymill wanting to just use her for breeding. So she will be spayed. She does have a couple cuts on her and limps once in awhile on her one leg but not consistant....so will have that checked out also.....no more jumping in and out of the Jeep!

Meet "Lilly" or "Bertha" as my hubby calls her and she actually responds to it better than Lilly....LOL!
What do you think....Pit Bull or American Bulldog or a mix of the 2 breeds????
She got a nice soothing bath today with medicated shampoo! She has some cuts on her that need to heel up still but she is doing great!

I think a cross between the two breeds it looks like to me...she is pretty though.

Aww what a pretty gal, and very BIG! LOL. Pits have wonderful personalities despite what most people think. Dad really wants one.....just has to get a gate put up on one side of his yard that isn't fenced in.
