Cropping or removing Ears for Dog fighting

Wow. I never heard of using rubberbands to remove ears. I have heard of dog fighting owners using scissors to cut off the ears when they are about a week old. And I've been told they remove ears cause they bleed too much when the other dog gets ahold of them. Very sad.
I'm not against cropping ears. If it's done properly(for non fighting pets), it looks good on some dogs. But fighters will cut the whole ear off.

That's really sad....I'm also not against cropping done by a vet,responsibly..>We used to raise Doberman Pinschers,but this is aweful...I couldn't imagine the pain the poor puppy was going through..
