Re: Critique please.. :)
Thank you! I have always been the type to get in there and learn about the dogs I own(Happeneds with every breed I've owned and every rescue I have taken in)Getting a wire Dachshund is no different I love her already,I'm already thinking about my future wires..lol..
I Really enjoy learning new grooming styles,etc...I think grooming is a great way of bonding with the dog....

OMGosh,I'm upset with myself...I took too much eyebrow off her tonight...I'm frustrated, and I think she picked up on that...so she was back tracking with our training
My husband got off at 5 and (now 7) still not home..He was supposed to be home before we lost day light to take these pictures(Lighting in my house is not very good),but again...I'm here doing it one-handed
I hope they came out ok...
I caught a good one of her natural stack,I wish half of her wasn't blocked by the dolly..lol...She was looking for something in the garage ,It shows her tail set a whole lot better!
A good one of her rear angles
And one toward the end of the session, she was getting annoyed and I was getting more frustrated...
Let me know what you think we have improved on and what does it look like we need to work on still, thanks

Wow...it's amazing the difference it makes when you groom them up......she is really looking good......I like her now....LOL....not that I didn't before....but she is really looking like a wire now. Good Job!!

That's REALLY hard to say, and the reason I say that is because it depends on the quality of wire dogs in your area. If she were showing around here, she'd clean up-the wire bitches showing here are not that great. But if you have a really nice kennel in your area and they have high quality dogs, you might have a harder time. She's a nice bitch though-it's just hard to say if you would or would not win with her in your area-does that make sense?
Re: Critique please.. :)
I understand that completely,I was just on the phone with a friend of mine just yesterday...She said she likes her too....I said I "Think" she'd do good in the ring because I like how she looks, but it also depends on how the other dogs look..lol..(Which it always does)...
Ok,new question then...comformation wise, would she be a dog -YOU- enter in the ring personally? Why or why not?
How's her "overall" comformation look to you guys?I know she does have tidbits that are off here and there, but how does the "overall" picture look?(SO I can get true opinions and not just see what I want to see..lol..)
I don't think we have very many wires around here to begin with, but since we have a smaller show..I know several people travel with their dogs for the "easy" points..lol..

I don't want to give you a real evaluation, only because the photos are at odd angles, so it's hard to see where her shoulder set is in relation to her neck and that sort of thing. BUT, that being said, I don't see anything significant about her that would prevent you from showing her. She has her faults, but they all do, and it just depends on what a judge does or doesn't like. Don't be discouraged if you don't win right away-we all have to start somewhere and we tend to kind of "ruin" our first show dog learning what does and doesn't work exhibiting them. I do suggest conformation classes if you can find one-they'll help you get used to the procedures in the ring, so it won't be so scary the first time. If you can't find any, make a point of telling the judge that its your first show and your dogs first show, and they will help you out if they're a decent human being.
Re: Critique please.. :)
I have taken conformation classes before so I know the "basics" of what to do and how to get her ready for the ring....I think I'm going for it,at least for the experience I don't think she's awefully bad conformation wise so I think we should be ok without people giving us Scared freak monster looks..lol..
Thanks for the honesty,I'm still upset my husband blew me off and didn't help me take pictures again..
