Hello from Damascus, Ohio

Hello out there!!! My name is Kelli and Karen has gotten me hooked on these little weiner dogs!! I am a happily married mom to a 21 year old daughter and a 16 year old son. I am also a mommy to BudBud (a 10 year old Golden Retriever), Daisy Mae (a 13 1/2 year old large terrier, dog pound rescue), Archie (a Dorkie,Dashchund/Yorkie mix. He looks like a silky wire and has the dashchund body) and Zelda Louise (my silly blonde dashchund from Karen at Big Timber's) I am a former exhibitor and owner of champion Akitas. I started out at age 13 as a junior handler and progressed to show several breeds assisting a professional handler. Karen wants me to get back in the ring again and maybe one day I just might do that. Right now I find it very rewarding by taking my little Zelda to the nursing home to visit my mother and other residents. It makes me proud that she can provide so much comfort and it takes a special dog to be able to be calm and comfortable in that situation. Karen has done a wonderful job on this forum and I am so glad to be able to learn more about these funny little dogs. I look forward to meeting everyone and hearing about their families and doggies!!
