Bill Takes Aim At Police Dog Killers

Two South Jersey lawmakers are working on a law targeting K-9 cop killers.

They want a mandatory five-year jail term for anyone convicted of killing a police dog.

"Shultz's Law" is named name after a Gloucester Township K-9 who died in the line of duty last week.

Officials say a robbery suspect threw Shultz into traffic on Route 42.

Shultz's law also would cover dogs killed during search-and-rescue operations.
