Novi, MI, Jan 22nd, 23rd
I've got the two puppies entered on the 22nd in the test "Beginner puppy competition" for pups 4 to under 6 months, and I'm debating entering Millie on Sunday. I'm having my friend Lois take a look at her tomorrow to see if her coat is still in too poor a condition to enter yet-she's doing this weird thing where her coat is growing first at her head and is slowly spreading its way down her body. And weirdly, it's coming in really wavy. I'd like to get her back in the ring again though. Her rear looks better since she's had the puppies-I think it spread her hips or something.
Anyone else heading up this way for this show?

Well, I'm not entering Millie. Her coat isn't in acceptable show condition, and now I'm pretty sure she's going to be coming into season in the next few weeks. She's suddenly humping Cricket all the time. Ah, the joys of hormones.

I have to admit, I find it a little disturbing to watch her humping her daughter. I know very well it's a dominance thing, but still-it's just wrong! I'm not surprised it's Cricket, though. She's completely obnoxious, and I'm 99% sure she's going to end up the dominant bitch in the house. Junie's much more layed back and rolls over at the slightest sign of dominance.
