BELGIAN TERVUREN NEEDS HOME
I have a one year old female Belgian Tervuren in need of a pet home. I live in NW MO, by the Iowa boarder. Athena was returned to me when the lady I sold her to lost her job. They are a herder so are high energy, high drive and at this age very hard to keep weight on. She's only $100, with papers to the right home. This is to help pay for her spay cost.

Would you let her go without spay to a working sport home?
Wouldlove to see pictures,I know a few people that are heavily into sportwork!

Good working home
Yes, a good working home is the best for my line of Belgians. They're out of working stock. Dad is an SAR dog. Her brother, who I kept, will start herding training next year. Most of my pups went to pet/working homes. Can't get her pic to post here. E mail me at xerxeyturkey@yahoo.com. I'm in NW Mo and can't ship her as she's too big now.

Shipping
I can ship her, but most people won't want to pay for the shipping. I can only use the Kansas City, MO airport. When I ship a Doxie pup is costs me right at $300. The expense here would also be her kennel. She must be able to stand up and turn around in it. They lay over at Salt Lake City. AS they are tundra dogs, normally cool weather is not an issue. However, the shipping certificate only allows the vet to go down so far. Weather is a problem, too. I did ship a Belgian pup to California in Jan. We had to have it at the airport at 7 a.m. and it had to be on that day. It was icy here, but not too icy for the plane to lift off. What a trip!! I wouldn't charge any extra if the buyer wants to pay for her shipping.

Weight of my Belgian
As mine are from true Belgian lines, they are a little bigger than their American counterparts. My females are 45 to 50 pounds, but my male is 100 pounds. He's what our Belgian judge called "rustic", but she loved him. He was more like what she had at home. Also they are biger boned than some, which makes them better for working and sporting, not fragile at all.

ATHENA HAS A HOME
I had a long talk with Athena's co owner and her new husband. Come spring, I will set up an agility course. She's going to come down and help me mainly with Athena. It's her way of still being involved with the dog and helping on her board. She'll also help groom and care for any other dog. She helped shear sheep last year.

So happy you are keeping her for them and working with them!!
I still am not sure exactly what these look like. Are they Belgian Shepherds or are they Malinois Shepherds??? Please excuse my ignorance on this breed!!

Tervs are the longhaired version of the Malinois!
