My middle son Riley
Ok, I know it's a mom thing but just had to share Riley has been having issues at school, not wanting to do his work, not paying attention, etc. After several conferences, I told them to please test him to see what level he was at grade wise (he is in first grade). From what they were telling me, the papers he brought home (with all A's) and what I know about my boy, I told them he is bored, plain and simple.
They finally put him through all the testing required, and he is performing at grade level 2.5 in math (which means he understands and completes the work expected of students halfway through 2nd grade) and his reading/english is at grade level 3.6
Sooooo, he will be starting 2nd grade next week. I would like everyone to keep him/us in your thoughts since this is a huge step and he is an extra little boy, lol!

That is wonderful that the school is allowing him to move ahead! So much better than being bored.
