I contacted this person and tried to explain that Sables are only in longhairs and that this is just a plain smooth red. The response...........WOW!!!

(Of course I had to XXXX out many many words.....I think I hit a touchy spot, cause I was very polite!)

I really don't need you to explain to me the Dachshund colors. It seems that you think you are the " Dachshund Police". You are the type of person who seems to think they know everything and feels they need to tell how much you think you know when actually you don't know XXXX. You really should MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. I didn't ask you for advice nor do I welcome your smart XXX, know it all opinion. I have been breeding for over 10 years and I GUARANTEE, I am a better and more caring breeder that you are. You don't need to go around forcing your opinions on people that do not ask you for it. Also it is NOT " DOXIES" its Dachshund. Doxies is not even a word. Learn English before you try to correct people. BTK DOXIES is not even listed on the Internet. That shows how popular you are and what kind of small XXXX breeder you really are.

about 80% of the replies that I have gotten back from people when I try to teach/tell them nicely about a mislabeled color, genetic issue, etc. respond this way Some are very pleasant and ask more questions and are genuinely interested and want to learn, but unfortunately most people don't want to be corrected and keep breeding with the ignorance they have.....its a real shame

Funny how they jump off the handle at you and get all defensive. It's breeders like these tho that I will definately remember in the future to never buy or suggest to others!!
I was on there to put up Bubbles for sale and was just checking out the pups.....can't resist looking at them.......then you see things that jump out at you like his add.....stating it is a sable when it is a smooth coat and he's been breeding for 10 yrs and knows soooo much more than me......funny I have only been breeding DACHSHUNDS and not DOXIES for only 5 yrs and know the difference....atleast get the coat right and call it a wild boar instead of a red!! Sorry...they will still be doxies to me!!

Just shows the ignorance of some people - Kudos to you for trying to inform him the correct color/pattern. Its a shame some people just don't want to learn

I don't give advice to anyone anymore who doesn't ask for it. In person, or on someone's website, I just roll my eyes when I know they're wrong and let it go. On a forum is different-they belong because they want to learn, supposedly, so I'll correct something if I notice it, but otherwise, I'm leaving the ignorant to their own devices.

Yeah I've seen that ad before. He often has them labeled incorrectly. I browse puppy find (tx) just to see what prices are averaging plus they are so darn cute lol! I did notice he changed his website to say the pup was just a smooth red, and I remember it used to say sable so even if he didn't change it on puppy find, maybe you did actually get thru to him

In all actuality,little do they know they are the eff,this eff,that know it all's...lol...Sorry it just cracks me up when I KNOW for a fact someone is wrong,but they claim over and over they know more..
I have seen lots of breeders that have breeding longer than I have and a bunch of them don't have a clue what color dogs they have or what genetics will produce what...
It's kinda sad when it comes down to it...

But yes,I agree...these aree the ones you remember NOT to buy from or recommend!
