ACCURATE dosing for safeguard/panacur 10%

This is the info that comes with the 10% panacur,same thing as safe guard 10%..

The stuff I get from my vet is different.......I get the Panacur horse & cattle dewormer 10% but my dosage is .25mls per lb. 1 x a day for 3 days.
This is how I have been giving it for yrs.

Strongid-T that I follow up with is 1ml per 10lbs.

These are the directions from manufacturer of panacur 10%.

Panacur 10% is the same thing as safeguard 10%(what I now use)doesn't matter if it's for goat,cattle,etc..10% has the same amount active ingredient per ml..

I will ask my vet again.......he will be here on Sunday to see his puppy.......mine is RX strength so not sure if it is different. I will check just to be safe!! 1,000ml is what I buy. I'd rather be safe than sorry....LOL!!

Ok....you are referring to the adults dosage and I am referring to the puppies dosage....LOL!!!

Puppies and kittens under six months of age
0.5 ml per kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days given by mouth after feeding to unweaned
animals or mixed with food for weaned animals (= 50 mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight daily for 3
days).
Practical dosage recommendations:
Up to 1 kg 0.5 ml daily for 3 days
1 to 2 kg 1 ml daily for 3 days
2 to 4 kg 2 ml daily for 3 days
4 to 6 kg 3 ml daily for 3 days
6 to 8 kg 4 ml daily for 3 days
8 to 10 kg 5 ml daily for 3 days

That is for puppy dosing 6 mos old and under,not adult dosing 2.2 lbs and under,but if the puppy is like a pound or under..I would do half dose too..,but the leaflet,has COMPLETE dosing info,per manufacturer.

Got it....LOL!!!

I printed it out to keep in my info/meds binder..I get tired of always searching online..when I'm looking for something I can't find it!...PLUS,I HATE calculating dosings....I'd rather have it at my fingertips..hehe
