My first litter-Dash&Quin

October 24th is the due date for my first Dachshund litter. I am SO stinking excited!
We could see red, red dapple, black/tan, and black/tan dapples in smooth and long coats. They should be true minis, mom and dad weigh 9 pounds each. Dash is hopefully hitting the show ring next year. I had to spend his show fund on unexpected car trouble so his career has been delayed. His coat has been slow to come in though so a little more maturing in the meantime is good.

Awww Congrats

Congrats......first litters are always sooo exciting! But being prepared for anything makes things go so much easier for both of you and stay calm.....mama's pick up any nervousness and they are already nervous about the unknown that is about to happen when they deliver! So stay calm and relax.....play soothing music anything that helps you relax....LOL!!! Smoke a cigarette if you smoke....LOL!!

No worries, this is my 8th year of breeding. I am a seasoned breeder lol. I'm already prepared, so prepared i've barely got anything to keep me busy until they arrive haha. Guess i'll have to think of new ideas, maybe more things to add to my puppy kits. Its going to be a looooong 9 weeks.

Quin is due on monday. She is big compared to usual but since its my first litter i can't make a good guess of how many are in there. At least 3 but less then 6 i think. She has been suuuuuper clingy today. Her temp has been going up and down, up and down. I hate waiting at the end of a pregnancy lol

Haha pretty much everybody missed it considering the hour of day she delivered. Stinker. I did record each birth though in short 20-30 minute videos since i knew everyone was missing it. We have 4 beautiful fat healthy girls that i'm about to post in the new arrivals section
