Registration and Pricing?

Ok I wasn't sure where to put this. I have a couple interested in one of my girls. They are a small hobby breeder in MS, and are driving all the way up to get her! They seem like really nice people. Anyway, they told me that most of their puppies sell as pets, and they haven't even registered the past couple litters they've had. They arn't sure they even want papers with the puppy because of this. They still plan on breeding her though, so do I still charge the full price of the dog or the pet price? Or should I meet halfway between the pet and full price?

Hmmm...I would charge the full price and give them the papers anyway. Then they can have the option of doing it later on if they decide to register her.

Yep I agree. Even if they only breed her once.....they are still considered breeders! Sell her full reg price and give them the papers anyways. Tell them if she is going for breeding the price is the same with or without papers. Pet means spay!!!!

Ok They said they'd get back to me by this morning at the latest and I still haven't heard back from them. I had another past puppy buyer ask about the puppy they were inquiring about so since it's already like 3:30 should I label her as available again, or wait until tomorrow just in case?

If they haven't got back to you yet and said they would......then she is available again!!! I only hold a pup for 24 hrs and that is it! No deposit....then that pup is available! It is a doggie dog gone world out there! Honestly......I prefer them to go to pet homes and not to breeders LOL! I have changed my ways in the last year tremendously. I will soon not even offer breeding rights period and I guess in a way I already started that. I put up one price and that is pet price. If someone wants more....then they have to contact me to discuss it! I have discouraged as many people from breeding as I can. We all know first hand just how difficult it is and can be. Just imagine someone not knowing and having no mentor or forum to help them out. Sad and scary!!
