I found this article interesting, I now sell more unregistered AKC pets than I do registered. I have 3 other breeders that I chat with closely and they all sell without AKC papers also. I don't think AKC registration #'s actually have anything to do with the number of how many pure-breed pets are being produced. It really just says how many people are actually turning in their paperwork & registering their pets.
