Re: Scooby *stacked*
Right away I see he is a little high in the rear and his front feet are flat/splayed(Maybe cause he's stacked up high, not sure)
Short in stifle, not the best topline...

Re: Scooby *stacked*
He's short in upper arm, short in keel and ribbing, lacking angulation both front and rear, high in the rear, roached, could use more prosternum, has flat feet. He does have nice markings, and I like his nice short tail.
Re: Scooby *stacked*
From my point of view.......since he has flat feet in the front, it makes him appear high in the rear but if you were to draw a line from front shoulder to back......it is level. He just doesn't have a good top line which is really important for conformation but not for field trials & agility! I wouldn't say roached but arched. Roached is way over rated. X-rays of the spine will show you a roached back if it is one. Like I said my point of view and I am not an expert and still learning. I like his rear! I think he has a nice chest on him, long neck....can't judge his head cause he has turned to much to see it properly. I can't tell on ribbing either cause he is filled out nicely. I would say his splayed feet and topline are his worst faults, splayed feet can be caused from not enough different surfaces that he lives on. Soft carpet, not keeping nails trimmed back enough, can be causes of splayed feet.
Here is a nice diagram to go by to judge your dogs conformation. Like I said tho......some will argue that a slightly arched back is great for field trials and so forth and will breed for this. Lisa @ Eridox....she has a spine book for dachshunds coming out soon...this summer and I am buying it....LOL!!!
I edited your post so you can compare him with the diagram easier!! I hope you don't mind!

Re: Scooby *stacked*
Thanks Mrs.Karen, that diagram is super helpful!
And I think the only reason his feet are like that is because he had a death grip on. He had never been put up there before.

Re: Scooby *stacked*
Maybe he has a "Soft back" it dips in slightly?Making it level up there from front to back but not straight..
I thought he was an adult..lol..I like his markings too
