Rowdy

Hey guys and gals, can you please say a quick prayer for Rowdy tonight? He took a nose dive off a 5 ft fence today (literally a nose dive). Anyway, cheek, nose, and lip is swollen. His lip is bruised on the inside and so are his gums. His nose is what concerns me the most though, it is very swollen and bruised. I don't "think" it is broken, but was told to really watch him tonight, make sure he doesn't swell anymore, etc.... He tells me he is fine, but he just now let me finish cleaning up the blood from his nose and lip as I couldn't touch it earlier

Oh Boy!! Poor guy!!

Here is a pic about an hour afterwards. He is even more swollen and purple tonight, but at least he's a tough kid!

OH MY GOSH!!!!! Poor Rowdy!! He needs some TLC.

Uggghhhhhh Angie......so sorry for him......tough farm boys you have there and they are definately all BOY from what I can see....LOL!!
Prayers his nose is ok.
My son caught a line drive from a baseball at 9 yrs old......6 stiches across the brim of his nose between his eyes and broke the nose. 6 wks after the accident he went in and had his adnoids removed and they rebroke and aligned his nose for him while he was under. At 20 yrs old.....you can't really even see his scar......we laugh and tease him all the time now....the ball was hit by a farm girl!
He also fell and broke his wrist, messed up a knee & elbow all in the same year!! I am soooo thankful I just had one boy at the time......3 would be crazy!! Glad you have awesome insurance!!
I know this is serious and not trying to make light of it.....but been there and done that with 1. The 3 girls put together were in and out of the ER as much as my son was!!

OUCH! Hope he heals up fast,poor little guy..I know how boys will be boys..I have 2 little boys and they are by far more rough than my daughter!

Bless his heart. Prayers he feels better soon. Shoot Karen your right there about boys....my son almost died from two accidents and he flatlined two times in the one accident on the way to the hospital. So yes boys are much harder on the being in accidents then girls. Both accidents he was given less then a 10% survival rate and we were told to prepare for the worst and to get his pastor there before it was too late. He had his last rights read to him in both accidents. He survived but my hair turned gray from it. I now don't even dye it anymore...might as well show what i worked so hard for.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. He is starting to feel some better, but I wish some more swelling would go down. With all they've done, I have never had an injury stay swollen more than a day. The swelling in his lip area has gone down, but his nose and cheek are still really puffy. Eye is purple underneath today, as well as a pretty good path across his nose, and then it is turning purple in a line down his cheek along his smile line. If it is still swollen tomorrow, I think I am taking him in to his doctor since they are open for 4 hours every Sunday. You can also tell it has really affected his sinuses too.

Why couldn't it have happened earlier in the day?? I had a 2 hour meeting with a friend who is also an ENT Dr and fixes nose/facial fractures, lol. I could've just taken Rowdy with me Hmmmm maybe I will take some good pics and e-mail them to him....
